Details & Itinerary

November 17th: Arrival in Phuket

On arrival in Phuket, you will be met by a representative of GOOD Travel and taken to your accommodation for the chance to relax after your long journey. In the evening, we’ll have a welcome cocktail and dinner!

November 18th: CraeteX Workshop

The morning will be yours to relax by the ocean. In the afternoon and evening, you’ll have an inspiring workshop with artist Baron Wright from CreateX Consulting & Retreats.

November 19th: Travel to Ban Talae Nok village

We will drive for approximately three hours north to Ban Talae Nok village where we'll spend the afternoon learning about life in a small Thai village. We'll take part in a variety of activities, including the opportunity to learn how to make soap out of natural ingredients and a cooking workshop. We'll spend the night staying in local homestays to get a true taste of the real Thailand.

November 20th: Burmese Learning Center

After having breakfast with our host families, we will head to the Burmese Learning Center to learn more about their work and get to know the staff and kids. This is an incredible project working to provide an education to Burmese migrants in Thailand. $100 of each trip fee will go directly towards supporting this project. In the late afternoon, we will head to a resort on the coast.

November 21st: Relaxation day

Today will be all about relaxing and recharging after the adventures of the previous two days. You will spend the day at your resort breathing in the ocean air and taking a dip in the warm water. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a one-hour complimentary spa treatment.

November 22nd: Travel to Bangkok

Today we will travel to Bangkok. We’ll be transferred to Phuket airport and then fly for approximately 1.5 hours to Bangkok. We’ll then be transferred to our hotel in Bangkok in time for a delicious dinner in the city.  

November 23nd: Amphawa floating market & night tour by Tuk Tuk

Today we will take part in a tour with a fantastic Thai social enterprise specializing in authentic and meaningful experiences in local communities. During the day, we will experience the story of canal life and enjoy shopping at Amphawa Floating Market. In the evening,we will uncover Bangkok's hidden gems and stunning views while riding on Tuk Tuks as well as have an exclusive dinner that will give you a memorable experience of Bangkok, one of Asia's greatest cities.

November 24th: Departure day

The trip ends here in Bangkok. If you wish to stay for some additional days, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help you make arrangements.

What's GOOD about this trip?

Every aspect of the trip has been designed to ensure that the local community and environment benefit from your visit. For the first part of the itinerary, we have partnered with a local tourism organization in Kuraburi specialized in community-based tourism and doing inspiring work to transform the tourism industry into a force for GOOD. In Bangkok, we have partnered with a Thai social enterprise specializing in authentic and meaningful experiences in local communities. We will be staying in hotels and resorts that are proactively working to support the local community and to minimize their impact on the environment. In addition, $100 of your trip fee will go directly towards supporting the Burmese Learning Center.

Trip Facilitators

The trip will be led by artist Baron Wright and Shelley Bragg from GOOD Travel. In addition, several local guides from our partner organization will be involved in various aspects of the trip.

Baron Wright

Baron Wright is CEO and Co-founder of CreateX Retreats Collective, a life experience company and BaronArts, a leadership and creativity development system. As a Certified Coach with over a decade of experience, he uses creativity to achieve breakthrough results for his clients. He first traveled with GOOD Travel to Tanzania in 2017 where he facilitated an inspirational creativity workshop on the shores of the Indian ocean. He looks forward to sharing this experience in Thailand with you and making this trip unforgettable!

Shelley Bragg

Shelley Bragg is GOOD Travel's co-founder. She is originally from South Africa, but has found her second home in Bangkok, Thailand. She has extensive experience planning and organizing purpose-centered travel experiences. She can't wait to show you her favorite places in Thailand!

The trip cost includes the following:

  • 7 nights accommodation in twin rooms in a variety of accommodations ranging from resorts to homestays
  • Airport pick-up in Phuket
  • All transport within Thailand, including domestic flight from Phuket to Bangkok
  • All activities listed in itinerary

  • All meals starting with dinner on day one and ending with breakfast on day seven

Please note that the following are not included and are your responsibility to arrange:

  • International flights arriving in Phuket and departing from Bangkok
  • International health and travel insurance
  • Visa for Thailand (if required)
  • Vaccinations: We strongly encourage you to visit your doctor at least two months prior to the trip to get all the recommended vaccinations
  • Snacks, beverages, souvenirs

There are two options for confirming your spot on this trip. We recommend arranging payment as soon as possible to secure your spot.

The first option is to pay for your trip over a series of ten installments of $285 each. Before you set up your payment plan, please make sure you’ve read and understood our terms of service. The second option is to pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 by January 15th 2019 and then to pay your remaining balance of $2350 by August 1st 2019.
