Details & Itinerary

Dec 30th: Arrival in Rio

On arrival in Rio, you will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation to relax. In the evening, we'll have a special welcome dinner to officially mark the beginning of this experience!

Dec 31st: New Year’s Eve in Rio

After a leisurely breakfast, we will have our welcome meeting and a workshop from Vallori Thomas to set the tone for the adventures ahead. The rest of the day will be all about celebrating in magical Rio de Janeiro! We will head to Copacabana Beach to bring in the New Year with Brazilian samba, rock bands and fireworks. Rio is widely known as one of the best destinations in the world to celebrate New Year's Eve!

Jan 1st: Christ the Redeemer, Wonder of the World

The morning will be yours to relax and reflect on the New Year. In the afternoon, we will head to our first Wonder of the World - the statue of Christ the Redeemer. The statue is one of the most iconic sights of Rio de Janeiro, and if the weather is clear there is a fantastic view over the city including Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf Mountain).

Jan 2nd: Travel to Cancún

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in Rio in time for your flight to Cancún, Mexico. On arrival in Cancún, you will be met by GOOD Travel and taken to your accommodation near Chichen Itza - a beautiful lodge famous for their sustainability and community work.

Jan 3nd: Workshop

After a leisurely breakfast, we will have a full-day of Possibilitology with Vallori Thomas. The remainder of the day will be yours to relax at the lodge. In the evening, we will have a special dinner with the kids benefiting from the donation included within your trip fee.

Jan 4th: Chichen Itza, Wonder of the World

We will rise early to avoid the crowds and experience our second Wonder of the World - Chichen Itza! Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities and is most famous for the Kukulkan Pyramid or “El Castillo” (the castle). We will take a guided tour with a company specializing in sustainable tourism. You'll have the opportunity to explore the most impressive archaeological sites as well swim in the Cenote Maya and discover Mayan culture through an authentic blessing ceremony.

Jan 5th: Departure

After our final workshop and debrief with Vallori Thomas, the trip ends in Cancún. If you would like to stay on for some additional days in Mexico after the trip, please contact us and we will be happy to help you organize this.

What's GOOD about this trip?

Every aspect of the trip has been designed to ensure that the local community, economy and environment benefit from your visit. We have partnered with local tourism organizations in each destination specialized in sustainable tourism for each of our activities. We will be staying in accommodations that are proactively working to support the local community and to minimize their impact on the environment. In addition, $100 of your trip fee will go directly towards supporting a fantastic non-profit organisation in Mexico, which you'll have the opportunity to visit during the trip.
