May 19th: Lima
We'll visit a local co-operative that makes traditional Peruvian ceramics. We'll have the opportunity to paint our own ceramic to keep as a souvenir and share a typical Peruvian meal with the artists. We'll spend the rest of the day exploring Lima, including some of the local markets.

May 20th: Travel to Cusco
In the morning, we'll take a short flight to Cusco. We'll have the rest of the day to rest, acclimatize to the altitude and explore the beautiful streets of the city.

May 21st: Chinchero
We will visit the community of Chinchero to take a weaving class with a non-profit organization. This organization promotes the empowerment of weavers through the sustainable practice of Peruvian ancestral textiles.

May 22nd - May 23rd: Machu Picchu
We'll travel by train with a tour company focused on sustainable tourism to the village of Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu. We'll get an early night and the following day we'll wake early to watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu. After plenty of time to explore, we'll return in the afternoon to Cusco.

May 24th: Cusco
In the morning, we'll visit the Huchuy Yachaq community center to learn about how the donation portion of this trip is being used to empower children, youth and families. We'll have the afternoon to rest and do some shopping at fair trade stores and local markets. In the evening, we'll enjoy a special farewell dinner and dancing!
