Possibilitarian Retreat Details

This exciting 7-day tour will take you on a spectacular tour through the Cape, starting with your arrival at Cape Town International Airport. Here you will be met at the airport by the trip facilitators and then taken to your environmentally and socially conscious guest house. You’ll have the day to rest and recoup in luxury, in preparation for an exciting few days ahead.

Day 2 will take you up South Africa’s famous and beautiful wine route, through towns like Franschoek and Stellenbosch, with wine and food tasting treats along the way. There will also be an opportunity for the group to make their own wine in a fun Wine-Making workshop at a wine farm passionate about sustainability. We will stay at the beautiful Wellness Spa in Robertsons and have another chance to relax and refresh, enjoy the surroundings and peaceful nature. Participants will also be led on a journey of wellness and reflection through a visioning workshop.

After two nights, we will return to Cape Town, to learn more about its history and people. We will visit Robben Island, where the father of the New South Africa, Nelson Mandela, spent over 20 years of life. We will take a beautiful hike of Table Mountain and visit local markets and Fair Trade craft shops. We will also have a unique cultural tour visiting some of the phenomenal women empowerment and social projects in Cape Town’s communities. This trip is all about connecting with nature and with others, so we will also have the opportunity to see some of South Africa’s marine wildlife with whale watching up the west coast.

After this, we head to Johannesburg, where we will stay at a lovely hotel in the northern suburbs, which is passionate about social and environmental GOODness. We will spend our final day in the community of Kliptown, Soweto, at a phenomenal community centre, learning from and working with the community.

What's GOOD about this trip?

For each participant, GOOD Travel gives a US$100 donation to our partner community centre.
