San Jose - Osa Peninsula - San Jose
Dates
3rd -10th March 2025

Day 1

Bienvenida a Costa Rica! Today you’ll arrive in Costa Rica from San Jose International Airport where you’ll be picked up and taken directly to your first accommodation at Finca Rosa Blanca. Today is all about settling in, meeting your fellow travelers and easing in to the relaxed Costa Rican pace of life.

Day 2

You’ll wake up on your first morning of the trip to the breathtaking Costa Rican highlands, surrounded on all sides by jungle, forested coffee farms and mountains. After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a tour of the coffee farm - or finca - where you are staying. Finca Rosa Blanca is an organic coffee farm employing sustainable practices in the production of their premium coffee. You’ll walk the coffee farm with a knowledgeable guide, learning about these practices and no doubt encountering some of the 143 bird species who call this part of Costa Rica home. You’ll finish your tour with a tasting of the coffee grown and roasted on site.

In the afternoon, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

Day 3

This morning you’ll be picked up from the Finca and begin your journey south to the Osa Peninsula and your resort at Playa Nicuesa.

Osa Peninsula is one of the most biodiverse areas on Earth, harbouring approximately 2.5% of the planet’s species. As a result, on your way South you’ll enjoy views of vibrant rainforests and stunning beaches.

Arriving in Puerto Jimenez, you’ll board a private boat transfer that will take you to Playa Nicuesa, the beautiful eco lodge that will be your base for the next four days.

Day 4

Playa Nicuesa Lodge sits between the rainforest and the beach, and in this unique location you’ll be able to truly unwind. Today, take your time enjoying a slow morning and delicious breakfast feasting on tropical fruit from the surrounding region.

In the afternoon, join an experienced guide on a guided kayaking adventure on the calm waters of the Golfo Dulce. You’ll paddle along the shoreline, keeping your eyes peeled for marine and jungle birds - and even dolphins and turtles!

Day 5

Today enjoy swimming off Playa Nicuesa’s beach, and trying your hand at snorkelling. Even in the shallow waters there is so much life to be seen under the water in this richly biodiverse part of the world.

At sunset, you’ll enjoy a cocktail and a private boat tour, watching the sun set and the rainforest’s nightlife come alive.

Day 6

Today is all about relaxing and self care. Choose how you’d like to spend your day - joining a yoga class in Playa Nicuesa’s on-site studio, indulge in a massage, walk the tropical fruit orchard, or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Golfo Dulce.

Day 7

You’ll travel back to San Jose today, transitioning out of the rainforest’s stillness and into Costa Rica’s vibrant capital city. Make the most of your last night of the trip with a special farewell dinner in San Jose, and a chance to reflect together on your adventures.

Day 8

Say farewell to Costa Rica and your travelling companions today as you transfer to the airport and depart on your home-bound flight.

If you wish to extend your trip and spend more time in Costa Rica, we can also arrange an add on option for you.
